AWARD – TA to Skills Development for Matching Labour Market Needs in Georgia

Contract Description:

This contract is a part of the EU funded programme “Skills Development and Matching for Labour Market Needs” aimed at enhancing Georgia’s economic resilience and sustainable growth through human capital development and skills matching. Particular attention will be given to youth, women and vulnerable groups.

The specific objective of the contract is to improve the employability of women and men in the regions covered by the programme (see Action document attached). The purpose of this project is to enhance capacity of the Georgian beneficiary ministries & agencies to develop, implement and review skills development and matching policies.

The service contract shall assist in enhancing capacities of respective authorities in national sector policies development, implementation, monitoring and reporting, as well as support in monitoring of implementation of other complementary support measures funded within the programme.

AWARD – Technical Assistance for Increasing the Quality of the Special Education Services for Inclusive Education

Contract Description:

The objective of the contract is to strengthen institutional capacity of the Directorate General for Special Education and Guidance Services (DGfSEGS) of the Ministry of National Education (MoNE).

A training need analysis (TNA) will be conducted on special field qualifications for special education, guidance services and mainstream teachers to determine their needs of trainings in special and inclusive education. Accordingly, teachers will be trained with in-service training programmes which will be revised in accordance with the output of the TNA. STEM trainings (four specific disciplines on science, technology, engineering and mathematics) will be delivered to teachers of Science and Art Centres of the DGfSEGS and implementation of an assessment tool for students’ achievement to promote universal screening and progress monitoring will be ensured.

Awareness raising activities and workshop on special education for inclusive education will enable relevant stakeholders accessed through events. An assessment of the system will be conducted in the pilot provinces where identification and placement of the students with special education needs is executed.

Contract Description:

In the scope of the subject contract, the Contractor will provide comprehensive assistance to the Contracting Authority as Operating Structure (OS) of the Competitiveness and Innovation Sector Operational Programme (CISOP) 2014-20 in Turkey.

Technical assistance  will be provided to all OS Departments and final beneficiaries in order to assist them in launching, implementing, monitoring, controlling and promoting CISOP 2014-20 operations. The contract has two components.

Component 1 is composed of 5 sub-components covering; on the job support to Operational Programme (OP) implementation; training and capacity building for OS staff and other stakeholders; capacity building and technical support to final beneficiaries; internal control and      competitiveness sector information system and OP evaluation.

Component 2 is composed of 3 sub-components covering;  promotion and image building activities; information activities and support to CISOP sound implementation and dialogue and interactions.

Contract Description:

Assistance for improving the planning, legislative, and institutional capacity of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection in the context of the harmonisation process and accession negotiations for negotiations Chapters i) 11 (Agriculture and Rural Development), and ii) 12 (Food Safety, Veterinary, and Phytosanitary policy). The project will also include a component aimed to raise awareness of Serbia’s efforts for achieving the EU standards in the respective areas.

Contract Description:

Improve the quality of the secondary education system in the Republic of Serbia by reviewing, updating and/or introducing national final examinations in order to contribute building a knowledge-based society.

This will be done through strengthening the capacities of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and other relevant national stakeholders (notably the Institute for Evaluating the Quality of Education, the Institute for Improvement of Education, the National Education Council, the Council for Vocational and Adult Education, the National Council for Higher Education – among others) and education institutions (faculties and schools), developing exam materials, promotion and piloting of final examinations at the end of the four-year and at the end of the three-year secondary education.
