Shortlist – TA for Education and Labour Market in Tajikistan

European Projects Management Ltd. has been shortlisted for the EuropeAid project contract, in consortium with DAI.

Project Title:

Technical Assistance to the education and labour sectors of the Republic of Tajikistan

Contract Description:

The contract is financed as part of the Quality Education Support Programme II and its activities are logical continuation of the activities, implemented during the first phase of the programme. The overall objective of the contract is to improve the learning outcomes and employability of Tajik young girls and boys with a special attention to the people living in vulnerable situations.

The specific objectives of the contract are to:

• strengthen the quality and relevance of competence-based general secondary education and VET for the needs of the learners and the labour market;

• improve the labour market information system connecting skills demand and supply and informing skills development and matching policies;

• improve governance of the education sector in terms of new financing schemes, strengthened policy development, monitoring and evaluation capacity and coordination with stakeholders.

Support for Planning, Programming and Coordination related to EU and Other Financial Assistance — PPF 10

Contract Description:

The purpose of this contract is to provide technical assistance to support the national authorities in the process
of planning, programming, monitoring, coordination and other horizontal tasks and processes, mainly related to
but not restricted to the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance funds (IPA III).

The fields of support are:

  • support for the preparation and implementation of the strategic and operational planning and programming
    documents related to EU and other development partner assistance,
  • support for the development and implementation of the monitoring and reporting frameworks related to EU
    and other development partner assistance,
  • capacity building and support provided to national stakeholders for planning and programming of EU and
    other development assistance.

Shortlist – Increasing capacity of institutions in the area of Competitiveness and Innovation in Montenegro

Project Title:

Increasing the capacity of institutions harmonising and implementing of EU acquis in the area of Competitiveness and Innovation

Location:

Montenegro

Contract Description:

This action will aim to strengten capacities of relevant institutions dealing with legal harmonisation, enforcement
and implementation of the EU acquis in the area of Competitiveness and Innovation, more specifically various public administration institutions and non-state stakeholders in the areas of services, standardization, accreditation, competition and state aid.The ultimate goal of the intervention will be to further increase awareness and knowledge related to all EU acquis among all relevant actors.The updated Montenegro’s Programme of Accession to the European Union 2019-2020 foresees alignment with wide list of acquis related with Chapter 1, Chapter 3, Chapter 7, Chapter 8, Chapter 9, Chapter 28. Further strengthening of all relevant stakeholders is essential for proper and timely transposition and implementation of relevant acquis and related policies within above stated chapters in order to fulfil the closing benchmarks.

Project Title:

Support to IPARD Operating Structure (Managing Authority and IPARD Agency)

Contract Description:

The purpose of this contract is to strengthen the institutional capacities of competent authorities within the Serbian Ministry in charge for Agriculture in order to implement the Rural Development component of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPARD II). The expected outputs of this project are the following:

  • preparation of the managing authority for the implementation of IPARD II measures 4 and 5;
  • strengthening the Rural Development Network and IPARD III;
  • preparation of the staff of the Directorate for Agrarian Payments (IPARD Agency) for the implementation of IPARD II measures 4 and 5 in accordance with EU requirements;
  • upgrade of RD IT solution for the implementation of IPARD II program;
  • supporting the IPARD Agency in updating written procedures (based on IT audit reports) and providing assistance in preparing for IPARD II e-accreditation.

Shortlist – Litani River Basin in Lebanon

Project Title:

Provision of Services to Address the Agricultural Pollution in the Litani River Basin (LRB)

Lebanon

Contract Description:

The contracting authority intends to implement agricultural interventions in the Litani River Basin (LRB) in order to address the pollution caused by the dominant agricultural practices. The uncontrolled quality and quantities of pesticides, insecticide, herbicides, and fertilisers, and the bad utilisation of animal fertilisers on agriculture lands result in both water and soil pollution. The contract scope consists of disseminating best agricultural practices, introducing alternative irrigation and production techniques (including agro-food processing), and on-the-job and plot-demonstration training modules. Strategies for involving youth in these activities will be devised to preserve the agricultural identity of the region and impact positively on social cohesion. Farmers and cooperatives will be supported to maintain their yields and to identify ways for scaling up and improving their production or reaching new markets.
