Improving Job and Vocational Counselling Services in Turkey

The overall objective is to improve the policy-making capacity of ISKUR and contribute to the quality, efficiency, coordination and diversity of public and private employment services, enhancing ISKUR’s capacity to deliver job and vocational counselling services more efficiently and reach more jobseekers and employers.

Activities

• Trainings for central and local ISKUR staff on policy making, policy implementation, career guidance and counselling, and IT systems
• Development of vocational orientation tests and online counselling applications, a coaching and mentoring scheme, and a knowledge repository
• Improvement of the communication strategy, production of short movies and fictional characters, and organisation of a Career Expo and International Congress of Employment Policies
• Studies on inclusive service delivery models, cooperation mechanisms, institutional needs analysis, and a forecasting model for vocations and skills
• Workshops and protocols with university career centres and private employment agencies, social partners and NGOs
